Service Description

The DCS Discovery Session (Free Trial) is a high-intensity introduction to our "Artistic Athlete" curriculum, designed to introduce you to the world of Hip Hop and Street Dance as well as meeting our team and Dance Culture Community. During this session, you will be guided through a warm-up followed by you learning choreography or fundamentals, where our faculty will assess your coordination, musicality, attitude and aptitude.

Cancellation Policy

1. Enrolment & Financials Registration: A non-refundable R800 annual fee is required upon enrolment. Applicable to Tiers 1-4 Members only. Cooling-Off: New members have a 7-day period from signing to cancel for a full tuition refund. Payments: Fees are due on the 1st of each month via EFT or Wix. Late payments after the 3rd incur a 5% penalty. Notice Period: One calendar month’s written notice to info@danceculture.co.za is required. Tiers 2, 3, and 4 are subject to a mandatory 12-month agreement. 2. Attendance & Absences The 3-Class Rule: Dancers missing 3+ classes per term may be disqualified from competitions, projects, or exams at the Director's discretion. Reporting: Log absences via the Wix App 24 hours in advance. WhatsApp or email to the coach is a final resort. Tier 1 Make-Ups: Tier 1 has access to 5 sessions per month; as most months have 4 Saturdays, the 5th acts as a built-in make-up. No refunds are given for missed group classes. 3. Private Lessons & Waitlists Confirmation: Private lessons must be prepaid to be confirmed on the schedule. Rescheduling: Missed privates must be rescheduled and completed within 30 days or the lesson is forfeited. Waitlist: Once notified of an opening via the app, you have 4 hours to claim the spot before it passes to the next dancer. 4. Studio Etiquette (The DCS Code) Kindness & Respect: These are our core values. Respect for instructors, peers, and property is non-negotiable. Preparation: Arrive 5–10 minutes early. Bring water and a towel. No eating is permitted in the studio. Mirrors: Strictly no touching of the mirrors. Satellite Venues: When training at external spaces, dancers must leave the area clean and in good condition. Devices: Mobile phones must be silenced and stored in bags to maintain focus. 5. Safety & Liability While every precaution is taken, DCS and its staff accept no liability for injury, theft, or damage sustained on the premises or during external events.
